How is a Baja Jones tour to Cuba better & different than other tours?

First and really important is that we limit our tours to 8 guests! We don’t know of another multi-day tour in Cuba that has such a small group size. Imagine trying to enjoy a private dance lesson with 15 or 25 other group members. Or sitting down and talking with an Olympic gold medalist one on one – not gonna happen on a typical Cuba tour but it will on ours.

Our tour groups do not stay in hotels but true to our support for the Cuban people license we stay in private homes called Casa Particulares. We choose some of the finest houses available in very good locations. You get to meet and interact with normal Cubans.

A Baja Jones trip has a special feeling to it almost as if you are traveling independently with a few close friends. We’re proud of the many lifelong friendships that have formed on our small group tours around the world. Part of our special feeling is generated by our enthusiasm for the outdoors.

Every Baja Jones tour ever done has included searching for and/or interaction with wild animals along with exploration of the outdoors and usually some kinds of boat activity. We have taught hundreds of people to snorkel from Hawaii to California to the Philippine Islands and Mexico we have even taught non-swimmers to snorkel.

We have brought this special feel to our Cuba tours as well.

About Keith Jones

Our Cuba tour is a fully guided, relatively allinclusive tour using a local English/Spanish speaking guide plus an experienced USA trip leader. This helps to maintain our idea of the proper style of relaxed group travel. While this is our “first visit” to Cuba, this is our tenth “first premier tour” and every one of the previous 9 were loads of fun. Twelve years later I still think of the first panda volunteering trip I led as one of the best trips I have been on. And I doubled down on that feeling with our first Uganda safari and gorilla trek! I expect Cuba will join the list of “first trip” special events.
